Voice studio

For parents: record your voice once, and Nutka and Solfeggio will sing scales, say note names and praise your child in it.

Children practise better when they hear a familiar voice. Recording takes a few minutes: the app plays a reference on the piano, you sing the note name, and the recording is trimmed and checked automatically. Then you can add phrases: “Hello!”, “Listen”, “Well done!”, “Try again”. Recordings stay in the browser on this device and are never sent anywhere.

1. Pick your voice type

Bass, baritone, tenor, alto or soprano: this sets the octave of the 18 notes needed for five scales.

2. Record the notes

The piano plays a reference, you sing its name for a second. The app checks the pitch and moves on by itself.

3. Add phrases

Six short sentences the apps say at the right moments of a lesson. Optional, but children love them.

4. Download a backup

Load the file on a tablet or another computer so you do not record again.

On a phone it is easier to open the studio full-screen.
