Nutka

Major scales up to two accidentals · music school, grades 1–2

A lesson path like Duolingo: five major scales (C, G, F, D, B♭), degrees by ear, whole and half steps, “find the wrong note”, key-signature theory and singing scales into the microphone with a tuner. After recording a voice in the Voice studio, Nutka sings the scales and praises in the parent’s voice.

Made by Magdalena, a high-school maths teacher and mother of four.

Where to start?

For whom: Children in the first two grades of music school (and anyone starting ear training) learning major scales up to two accidentals.

  1. A parent records their voice in the Voice studio (a few minutes); without recordings Nutka plays the piano.
  2. The child opens the “Learn” tab and follows the lessons in order: C major first, then G, F, D and B♭.
  3. Singing lessons need the microphone; the tuner shows whether the note is in tune. Lessons earn XP, stars and a streak.
